Out of which, Discover 125 is the oldest model in its line-up, which was recently bestowed with some noteworthy upgrades. This is also the first generation model of Discover series and to keep it competitive against its next generation rivals, it gets a retuned motor for better mileage along with 5 speed gearbox.
The size of the rear tyre has been increased for better stability and control. Moreover, front disc brake has become standard with the 5-spoke alloy wheels. The claimed mileage of the motorcycle is 82.4 kmpl that makes it one of the most fuel efficient 125cc commuters ever. On the other hand, it also notes down a top speed of 100kmph. The machine houses a 124.6cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, 2-valve, DTS-i engine that generates 10.9bhp of power and 10.8Nm of torque. This is the same old engine that has been serving this motorcycle since inception.
Bajaj Discover 125 sports the same old yet bold look with smart headlight design, short visor, cool fuel tank design and appealing graphics all over the body panels. It is built on the semi-double cradle frame that offers it a strong stance to steer effortlessly and perform cornering confidently.
The telescopic front forks and rear nitrox twin shock absorbers are quite comforting. Braking system is now better with the equipment of 200mm disc brake at the front wheel and 130mm drum brake at the rear end. With a pocket friendly price tag, it is a true competitor of Honda Shine, which is the most consumed bike of the segment.
